NUCA Launches Members-Only Damage Prevention/Claims Avoidance Program
Arlington, Va.—The National Utility Contractors Association unveiled its new Damage Prevention and Claims Avoidance Program during the association’s recent board meeting in Nashville, Tenn. The program will be run by S.E.E. Underground Technologies & Consulting, a Kansas City, Missouri-based company that specializes in damage prevention training and consulting. Under an exclusive arrangement with S.E.E., NUCA members will receive consultation on both damage prevention and investigation free of charge. In addition, members will be provided with one free hour for claims evaluation per quarter or four free hours per year. After that, members can use the evaluation service at the heavily discounted rate of $75 per hour.
“This new program will save excavators a lot of time, energy and money when it comes to tough decisions surrounding facility damage claims,” said NUCA Damage Prevention Committee Chair Steven Theis. “And this benefit is exclusively for NUCA Members.”
The program will be serviced by NUCA member and S.E.E. President Ron Peterson and Mario Schmitt, president of Pipeline Maintenance Inc., a company specializing in vacuum excavation and underground utility locating. Both Peterson and Schmitt have extensive experience as locators, trainers and claims managers.
